Many years ago, my friends and I came from Minnesota and went to the Chicago Blues festival. We heard Taj Mahal and bunch of other greats. But the best was listening to Jr. Wells and Buddy play. We heard that Buddy was opening a club that night called “Buddy Guy's Legends”. We cut the festival short, got something to eat and made it over there before the crowd. I bought a shirt. We sat at a table right up front. When it got packed, people were sitting, bunched together on the dance floor in front of us. I'll never forget when Buddy played "Knock On Wood". Right before Buddy’s guitar break, a stagehand came onto the stage carrying a ton of cable for Buddy's guitar. He hooked up to it and went out into the crowd. He worked his way through and played to everyone! Then he went out of the building, still playing wild, still playing "Knock On Wood"! When he came back in, everyone went nuts! I've been a huge fan ever since. I just thought I'd share that. Is there any way I can get tickets for the 700 club's opening night? I know it’s going to be amazing.

Coming to your show with BB King on February 20th and we can't wait! Seeing different reviews with set lists and hoping we'll hear Man of Many Words - it's one of my faves. You always put on an AWESOME show and I even hooked my sister on you now. You're a man for the ages and I feel so fortunate to be able to see you again in concert (I saw you at the MN State Fair too.) God bless and keep you on your travels! See you soon from the 8th row!

Loving the new website. Best Layout so far. Also looking forward to the new location. I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to play on the 754 stage. I hope to play the 700 stage in the future. Maybe I will. The new location will feel somewhat the same I think, as it's so close to the current location. Love ya Buddy Guy & Legends!

greetings from minneapolis, mn. i had to come to your club one more time before you moved so me and a friend drove there on monday, jan. 18th (martin luther king jr. day) and got a table, had some great food, and awaited the blues music to begin. i looked over to the bar and there sat buddy. i got the courage up to go talk to him and had a nice chat about the new club location and asked him if he would sign my pickguard off of my guitar. i could see he was tired and feeling wore out from the buddy show there the night before, but he was nice enough to sign it anyway. thank you buddy for making my last visit to your old club location very memorable and i will definately come visit you at the new location down the block!!!! i dont care what anyone says about you letting success go to your head or forgetting your fans, you proved to me that BUDDY GUY STILL CARES!!!! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK AT THE NEW PLACE!!!!

Howdy from the Austin Blues Society down here in the Live Music Capitol of the World!

We're stoked that you are coming to our fair city and I can't wait to see you perform! We're promoting your gig at Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheatre in our newsletter the Blues-E-News and on our web site austinbluessociety.org

I'm listening to you on the stereo right now....and after a long drought and finally getting some recently, it's the most appropriate song to hear....Let It Rain!

Yours Bluely,
Patrice Bartling
