General Legends FAQs

Legends does not accept reservations. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and we recommend arriving early!
On a weeknight, tables usually fill up between 7:30-8PM.
On a Friday or Saturday, tables can fill up as early as 6-7PM.

All-ages before 8PM – All shows after 8PM are 21+
If you are over 21, please make sure you have a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license, passport, etc); Legends reserves the right to deny entry to anyone without proper photo ID.

You can also pay the cover charge at the door the night of the show. The cover charge is $15 Sunday-Thursday and $25 on Fridays and Saturdays (excluding special events. Subject to change).

Please note: Tickets purchased form third party sellers or ticket brokers can not be guaranteed by legends. Please beware of ticket brokers and third party ticket sellers when purchasing tickets.

Buying tickets in advance does NOT guarantee seating – All tickets sold are GENERAL ADMISSION and all seating at Legends is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis, so we recommend arriving early!

No. If you purchase tickets online and you select Will Call, your name will be added to a list. When you give your name to the door guys upon arrival, they will check your name off the list and stamp your hand. There are no physical tickets that can be picked up ahead of time.

Yes, you can still simply pay the cover charge at the door. Buying tickets in advance and paying the cover charge is the same thing. Buying tickets in advance just guarantees that you will be able to get in the door.

Buddy performs in the club every January.

Buddy Guy’s Legends is pleased to announce that we will now allow video recording as well as photos. We ask that patrons be courteous and not block the views of others around them. No professional photo/video equipment will be allowed without a media pass.

No. After 8:00PM, you must be over 21. However, we do have some live Blues before 8:00PM where all-ages are welcome. Here’s a schedule of those performances.

we are temporarily closed for lunch.

he kitchen is open until 11:00 PM every night. (hours may vary)

we have dinnertime sets 5 nights a week that start between 5 and 6pm. 

Legends does not offer coat check. (Legends will have a coat check for the January Buddy Guy resedency starting at 6:00PM)
 

We do not have parking for patrons, however there are “Pay to Park” spots located on the surrounding streets and multiple parking garages located within blocks of the club.

We also have a weekly Monday night Blues jam at 9:00PM; if you plan on attending, you must bring your own instrument. See next FAQ for more info.

 

We host an open Blues jam every Wednesday night at 9:00PM. You can come in to sign up any time before 9:00PM on Monday. If you sign up to play, you get in free of charge and you also get a guest in for half off . The host band will play for about an hour and then they will begin inviting other musicians up on stage. We ask that you bring your own instrument/drumsticks.

Yes! The original club was at the corner of Wabash and 8th Street, but in June of 2010, we moved one block up the street to 700 S. Wabash, the corner of Wabash and Balbo.

Buddy Guy FAQs

If Buddy is in town, he can normally be spotted at the bar.

Buddy performs in the club every January – He plays about 16 shows throughout the month and they sell out quickly!
